The horn player studied from 1988 to 1989 at the University of Music in Mannheim with Mahir Cakar. He then continued his studies with Joachim Bänsch at the Stuttgart University. From 1990 to 1993 he studied with E. Penzel at the University of Music in Cologne. During this time he was an intern with the Gürzenich Orchestra.
